Menu Plan: Snacks to Pack

The Gluten Free Detroit Metro family like many others is on a fixed budget when it comes to groceries.  Gluten-free goodies are known to cost a lot of money.  To get around that, most items in our home are fresh and unprocessed.  Therefore, a lot of baking and cooking is done in the home.  The best way to keep food waste minimal and stay within a budget is to meal plan.  Here is another Monday and another meal plan.

Please keep in mind that Gluten Free Detroit Metro is not represented by a doctor or dietitian.  Use your own judgement when purchasing foods and consult a doctor or dietitian when adopting a gluten-free diet.

In many states children are starting to go back to school.  Here on the east side of the state my kids do not go back until September.  I am actually thankful for that.  Like most families we work and that really takes away from spending time with the kids.  There are so many more things on our bucket list for this summer.  I need more time.

Although our kids are not in school yet we still pack lunches.  The Mister of the house usually packs to save money.  It is always convenient when we have grab-and-go things on hand.

You can check out some of the snacks we keep on hand here… Snacks

This week the Gluten Free Menu Swap host is Celiac Family.  There you will find many more snack ideas.
